Job Summary

The Ministry of Education provides leadership and direction to Saskatchewan’s education, early years, library and literacy sectors. The Provincial Library and Literacy Office is seeking a professional librarian to develop, co-ordinate and implement policies and programs related to multitype library services in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will work to achieve multitype goals and objectives by encouraging cooperation and resource-sharing among all libraries and other information providers and support the Saskatchewan Electronic Resources Partnership program.

The ideal candidate will have superior facilitation, negotiation and consensus building skills in order to work effectively with a diverse group of partners, stakeholders and communities.  Your strong research skills, supplemented with experience in project management will support the development and implementation of province-wide projects. The preferred candidate will need knowledge and skills in the area of e-resource licensing and management, training, and knowledge of the legislation and multitype library development in Saskatchewan.

Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be obtained through the completion of a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science.

Compensation

$40.375-$50.593 Hourly
