Pricing
The Partnership Job Board is free to job seekers, and is a paid service for employers. It is a revenue-sharing model that provides important financial support to provincial and territorial library associations.
You are welcome to post any library or archive related job. If your institution is a current member of one of the associations in The Partnership, you receive a preferred member rate.

Fees
Does my organization qualify for the Member Rate?
If your organization is a current institutional member of one of The Partnership, Canada’s national network of provincial and territorial library associations, then yes.
Can I use my Personal/individual Membership to qualify for the Member Rate?
No. The preferred member rate is available only to organizations with a current institutional membership in one of The Partnership, Canada’s national network of provincial and territorial library associations.
Can I post a Volunteer role?
Yes. From the Employer Dashboard, select Post a Job. In the Compensation field, please enter “This is a volunteer role” and under Job Type, please select “Volunteer”.
What posting should I purchase?
Your posting is active for up to 30, 60 or 90 days from the Open Date of the job posting. Based on your purchase, it will expire 30, 60 or 90 days from that Open Date.
Your job posting is visible from the Open Date you select in your job posting to the Close Date you select.
- Open Date cannot be changed.
- Close Date can be changed at any time, as many times as you like, as long as it remains within the active period.
- You can also close your job at any time within the active period by selecting “Mark as Filled” from your Employer Dashboard (Manage Postings>Postings).

For example:
You purchase a 30 day posting on July 25 and choose an Open Date of August 1 and a Close Date of August 15.
- Your job is active for 30 days, from August 1-30, and expires on August 30
- Your job is visible to job seekers from August 1-15
- You may choose to adjust the Close Date to have it visible up until August 30
- You may not extend the visibility past August 30
Is there a charge to extend the Close Date?
There is no charge to extend the Close Date as long as it remains within the active period purchased.
If you wish to extend the Close Date beyond the number of days purchased originally (e.g. 30 days, 60 days or 90 days), you will need to purchase a new posting.
Payments
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes. The Partnership Job Board accepts VISA, Mastercard, Discover and Amex. When you pay by credit card, a link to your receipt/invoice is sent to the email address associated with the login used to purchase the posting. To ensure you receive the email, please add jobboard@bcla.bc.ca to your contacts / list of safe senders.
You may access your receipt/invoice at any time by logging into your Employer Dashboard.
Can I pay by cheque?
While we do accept cheques, we encourage you to investigate whether you can pay by credit card before choosing to pay by cheque.
BCLA is a small organization with limited capacity, and we strive to minimize the administrative costs of the Partnership Job Board to maximize the revenue shared with all of the provincial and territorial associations. Processing payments by credit card is more efficient and cost effective.
If you are unable to pay by credit card, please choose “Pay by Cheque” and an invoice link will be sent to the email address associated with the login used to purchase the posting. To ensure you receive the invoice, please add jobboard@bcla.bc.ca to your contacts / list of safe senders.

Once your cheque has been received, the Partnership Job Board will send a receipt link to the same email address as above.

I accidentally chose cheque as my payment method. Can I pay by credit card instead?
Yes, you may do so from your Employer Dashboard.
- Under Manage Postings, select Payment History
- Choose the job posting you wish to pay for and select Pay Now
Once your payment is processed, the Partnership Job Board will email you a receipt link. To ensure you receive the invoice, please add jobboard@bcla.bc.ca to your contacts / list of safe senders. Please do not send your credit card information to us via email.
You may access your invoice/receipt at any time by logging into your Employer Dashboard.
Do you charge GST/HST?
No. We do not charge GST or HST.
Refunds
Can I get a refund?
Refunds will not be considered except in cases of:
- BCLA’s decision that a job posting is not related to library or archival work. BCLA reserves the right to refuse postings that are not within the scope of the Partnership Job Board. In such cases, a refund will be issued.
- Accidental duplication. If you inadvertently post a job twice, please contact us immediately with the job title and date of the duplicate posting. We will provide refunds for accidental duplications if your request is received within 7 days of the purchase date.
Failure to include required Compensation Information
Jobs submitted to the Partnership Job Board without a salary amount or range in the required compensation field, will not be approved for posting until the salary amount or range has been added. Any delay in posting a job, including not posting it at all, due to a failure to include a salary amount or range in the required compensation field will not qualify for a refund.
