Position Description
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Business Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of the library’s business operations and provides critical administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and the Library Board.
This position is responsible for maintaining the Library’s Administrative and Human Resources files in accordance with recognized records management principles, practice and legislative requirements. The Business Administrator performs the key organizational functions in the recruitment and hiring of library staff, contract staff and contract workers and participates in staff orientation, training, staff development and performance appraisals.
The Business Administrator performs the key organizational functions of Health and Safety Officer and Access and Privacy Compliance Officer and assists the CEO in budget forecasting, preparation and monitoring the budget throughout the year.
The salary for this position starts at $89,884, plus benefits and pension.
