POSITION SUMMARY
Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
The Legislative Library is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual for the auxiliary full-time position of Library Systems Analyst.
Reporting to the Systems and Technical Services Manager, the Library Systems Analyst, working as part of the Library Systems team, is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting software and hardware for library clients and staff. This role involves creating and improving code for managing library collections and services, technical support for library services and applications, and writing and maintaining documentation and training materials. The analyst ensures the smooth operation of library systems and supports the technological needs of both staff and patrons.
