Summer Student Programmers (3 positions - 8 week contract)

Job Summary

Position Summary: The students will report to the Program Supervisor. The students will deliver the Library’s summer programs for all ages at the Nobleton, Schomberg, and King City branches.

 

Contract Duration:         June 23rd – August 15th 2025 (8-week contract)

A maximum of 30 hours per week; includes evening and weekend shifts

 

Qualifications:              

- Experience working with preschool and school-aged children

- Good communication and sound customer service skills

- Demonstrates creativity and inspires others

- Energetic and patient when working with children

- Knowledge of children’s literature is an asset

- Experience with various computer software programs, including Microsoft Office

- Comfortable providing technology instruction to various age groups

- Ability to problem-solve simple technical issues

- Experience with Maker technologies (e.g. Robotics and 3D Printing) is an asset

- Reliable transportation is a must

- Successful candidates aged 18 or older will be required to complete a vulnerable sector check

- Minimum physical requirements:  able to lift 30 pounds, bend, reach, stretch, jump and interact with all ages

Compensation

$18.20/hour
