The Selwyn Public Library is seeking applicants for the position of Technology & Training Coordinator for a one year contract, who will assist with the the provision, promotion and integration of technology into the operation of the municipal Library Service. The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary Degree or Diploma from a recognized teaching facility with one year related experience or an acceptable combination of relevant education and work related experience. Candidates must have excellent knowledge of computer technology, personal computers and hands-on experience with word processing, the internet and data base applications. Knowledge of online marketing tools and strategies, is considered an asset.
This person will be expected to coordinate technology awareness and training particularly in regard to new and innovative resources for the public, staff and volunteers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate and teach technology skills effectively with the general public, providing information in a polite and tactful manner.
The salary range for this position is $22.73 - $27.28 per hour based on a 30 hour work week.
