Finding the right information or services can be a frustrating experience for many people. bc211 offers a single point of access for anyone seeking non-emergency human services: individuals, families, and people facing barriers because of language, poverty or personal difficulty, as well as professionals in government, business or community agencies.
bc211 meets the increasing demand for social services navigation and provides human services data and analysis, assisting funders and community planners with making critical policy and programming decisions. bc211 develops and manages online web enabled databases for the public and for specialized applications, bringing information to people when and how they want to receive it.
As a key member of the bc211 team, reporting to the Manager, Resources & Publications/IT, the Resources and Publications Specialist will be responsible for researching, entering, indexing and maintaining information on community services in the province of BC.
As the ideal candidate, you have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as data entry and indexing skills. You are able to work independently and as part of a team.
