Medicine Hat College invites applications for a full time, Instruction and Research Librarian.
Reporting to the Director, Teaching & Learning, the primary area of responsibility for this position is to provide leadership and direction for the design, development, assessment, and continual improvement of an information literacy instructional program for the library and its instructional staff. This also involves working closely with faculty to ensure that the information literacy program is integrated with MHC academic courses and programs.
This position manages staff, teaches in the information literacy program, develops research data management initiatives across the research lifecycle, participates in collection development and in the management of Library Services, and serves in a professional capacity on internal and external committees. The Instruction and Research librarian serves as a catalyst for change within the library by engaging with library data to deliver evidence and analysis to fuel better decision making regarding instruction and the provision of library services.
