The Provincial Library and Literacy Office is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated leader in the capacity of Director of Library Accountability and Administration. As Director, you will work in a team environment to support library and literacy organizations in the province. Reporting to the Provincial Librarian/Executive Director, you will lead the management of an operating and grant budget of $12.3M. You will provide expertise to the management team in financial management and government accounting practices, working collaboratively with Corporate Services to ensure that expenditures and related processes adhere to government accountability requirements.
As Director, you will be responsible for the management and supervision of three units, the Library Accessibility and Accountability unit, the Literacy Office and the Multitype Library Development unit. You will use your knowledge of research, policy and program development, implementation and evaluation to manage literacy grant programs. Your experience working with diverse stakeholders will be used in the management and development of the Multitype Library unit, allowing you to work with the multitype library community to determine future directions that are aligned with the key strategies of the Government of Saskatchewan.
You will be results-oriented, with excellent communication skills and the capability of working with diverse stakeholders. You will be knowledgeable in managing government processes, as well as be results oriented with a proven track record for developing teams. Ideally you will possess a Master's Degree in library and information science or public administration. Knowledge of government legislation and financial policy development is required for this position. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
