Supply Library Technicians
Hourly Rate: $19.23/hour plus 4% vacation pay
Location: Halton Region (Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, & Oakville)
Work Schedule: 12 months/year, as required

Position Summary:
Supply library technician staff work on an “as needed” basis, filling in for staff who are away or on leave, and vacancies within our elementary and/or secondary schools or the administrative Board offices.

Qualifications:
Supply Library Technician positions require a Library and Information Technician Diploma from a post-secondary institution plus related experience.

Also required are:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Expertise in the use of computer technology (e.g. word processing, email, spreadsheet, and internet applications, including Google Suite)
  • Knowledge of standard library techniques (e.g. use of digital library resources, Dewey classification, readers advisory, resource re
