Memorial University of Newfoundland invites applications for a three-year term position in the Memorial University Libraries system.

The person we want to hire

Memorial University Libraries is currently looking for a three-year term position focused on graduate studies.Graduate students studying remotely are a growing population at Memorial University. Meeting the needs of this community requires an innovative approach to service delivery and extensive collaboration and coordination with library and campus partners.

The successful candidate will work closely with the School of Graduate Studies to foster and strengthen relationships to ensure the academic success of graduate students.The successful applicant will work closely with librarians in all Memorial University Libraries to develop and implement innovative course-based instruction and advanced research support. Services also required by graduate students include citation management, research data management, and access to publishing and research visibility opportunities.

Memorial University Libraries is seeking a librarian with a strong service ethic to work with a collaborative and proactive team. Ideally, you will have experience in the delivery of advanced research services, and in the provision and/or development of online learning resources. An ALA-accredited graduate degree is required and a second degree at the master’s level is desirable.Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Salary

An appointment at the rank of Librarian I is anticipated.Salary is based on experience and qualifications.The salary floor for a Librarian I is $59,210 as of April 30, 2019.
