Desirable Training and Experience:

  • Minimum two years of experience in Library programming;
  • Post-secondary education in a field related to programming with people of all ages;
  • Ability to plan and run high-quality programming at any branch of the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library;
  • Significant knowledge of literature, Library programming trends, and a practical understanding of various learning styles;
  • Thorough, practical, knowledge of current technologies and devices, with preference given to applicants with prior experience with Makerspace equipment, robotics, coding, and educational technologies;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and support a team;
  • Excellent pro-active/roving customer service skills;
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, at all branches of the library system;
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation;
  • Police records check with Vulnerable Sector screen.
