HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTANT
DUTIES: Reporting to the Director of Regional Services this position is responsible for the functions and staffing (approximately 300) of all Divisions of the PILRB system.This position will work closely with management and executive, union officials with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), and government departments including the Public Service Commission (PSC) and Human Resources Secretariat (HRS). The incumbent will be responsible for managing the recruitment, selection and assignment of all bargaining unit staff; ensuring consistent interpretation and advises on the application of human resources policies/procedures and the collective agreement; managing the layoff, bumping, and recall process; assists the Director of Regional Services in grievances, mediation, arbitration and/or negotiations; investigates matters related to employee discipline and applying progressive discipline in the workplace; to promote positive employee relations; and completing classification and reclassification requests. Candidates will be required to provide a clear Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check.
QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Commerce with a major in Human Resources supplemented by several years of experience in the provision of human resources services in a unionized environment.Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.

PAY RANGE:HL 19 - $59,806 - $77,748 per annum
