Job Opportunity for a PROGRAMMER, Children’s Services

PART-TIME - 25 hours per week – 6 month contract

Desirable Training and Experience:

  • Experience in children’s programming;
  • Library Technician Diploma, Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent;
  • Ability to plan and run high-quality children’s programming for the four branches of the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library;
  • Significant knowledge of children’s literature, trends, and a practical understanding of child development;
  • Thorough, practical, knowledge of current technologies and devices, with preference given to applicants with prior experience with basic coding, 3D printing technologies, Vinyl Cutters, Laser Cutters, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software, Green Screen technologies and video and sound recording and editing;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and lead or support a team;
  • Excellent pro-active/roving customer service skills;
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, at all branches of the library system;
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation;
  • Police records check with Vulnerable Sector screen.
