Job Summary
The Opportunity
The primary function of this position is to provide day-to-day supervision to Learning Resources (LR) Technical Services staff at both campus libraries and to provide administrative support to functions within LR to ensure high quality service delivery to students, faculty, and staff. Coordinates with other Library Operations Supervisors the functions performed by staff and communicates with library faculty other College personnel to facilitate effective operations.
WHAT IT TAKES
- A Library & Information Technology diploma from an accredited two-year program, with a minimum of five years of post-secondary library experience including a minimum of two years in a supervisory role.
- An equivalent combination of training, education, and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of current trends, issues, and opportunities related to the provision of responsive and innovative library services and spaces
- Knowledge of current cataloguing and metadata practice
- Demonstrated commitment to and proficiency in customer service excellence

Additional Information
- This full-time, regular position is available starting July 13, 2026.Hours of work will typically be scheduled Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm
- This position is required to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs
- Shift days and times may change depending on operational needs
- Evening and occasional weekend work may be required.
- The position is located at the New Westminster campus; and will be required to work at all Douglas College campuses and offsite locations
