This is a full-time 1.5-year term, anticipatory permanent position, working 75 hours bi-weekly. If you are an internal candidate, we will consider doing a temporary assignment.

About the branch:
Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, the Director of Yukon Public Libraries fosters a collaborative, team approach, both within the division and with external contacts and clients. The Director is an important member of the division’s management team and provides strategic leadership to encourage, strengthen, enable, and support public libraries across the territory.
About the job:
The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking skills, a client service orientation and a flexible, proactive approach to working with staff, colleagues, and clients. They will resolve issues and problems using strong negotiation skills, as well as make decisions with integrity and balanced judgement.
